Our Center
Nordmarkens Kanot & Turist Center AB is a wilderness lodge located in Risviken, Årjäng, in the Västra Värmland and Norra Dalsland regions of Sweden. Here, you can experience the true wilderness and find activities for the whole family, work colleagues, or schoolmates. Let us highlight some of the offerings:
“Canoeing”, Whether you want to explore on your own or join “Guided wilderness tours” , Nordmarkens Kanot Center provides various canoeing experiences. They have both individual canoes and larger ones for groups.
“Wilderness Adventures“: Beyond canoeing, you can try outdoor activities like climbing on their outdoor “Climbing tower” or even experience a day as a lumberjack, learning safe wood chopping techniques.
“Youth Adventures”: We offer wilderness adventures specifically designed for young people, including the “Wilderness Experience Survival School” (WEISS) multisport challenges, Indian Sweat Lodge and Hot Tub experiences, and more.
Accommodations: We have a very nice wilderness house and shelters in the camp for your stay.
Shop
In our shop you can buy most of what you need for your trip with us. We have extensive experience in outdoor equipment. Keep an eye on this part of the website and there will be great offers for the 2024 season. We have a well-stocked fishing department and a knowledgeable fishing guide!
For 2024, we will expand our range and also give you the opportunity to buy outdoor equipment that you can have delivered immediately or upon your arrival.
We have the WFI network in the main building and you can check departures for flights, ferries and trains as well as book your onward journey. In the recreation room, which is normally open in the evenings, you are welcome to sit down and have a coffee with us. In the shop there is also a small “cozy corner” with more information.
