The Wilderness House – Bockudden
On the shores of Västra Silen – perfect for anglers and families.
The wilderness house BOCKUDDEN is a modern cottage/villa of 95 square meters, divided into a large cottage with fireplace, dining area and with large panoramic windows facing the lake and terrace facing south. A kitchen with fridge, freezer, electric stove incl. oven. coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster etc. A large bedroom with two beds suitable as a bedroom for adults and two smaller bedrooms with duplex beds and a sofa bed in the living room.
Toilet with shower and laundry area. Larger hall with stairs down to the lower floor. There is a sauna, shower area, washing machine. On the east — north and west side a very large balcony / terrace with sun loungers, barbecue and with direct entrance / exit from the kitchen.
Rowing boat with electric motor / alternatively a canoe with life jackets for two people. (Alternatively, there is a 4 hp petrol engine four-stroke for rent for SEK 1,000 / week. Fuel will be added.
The house is located about 250 meters west of Base Camp Risviken and Nordmarkens Kanot Center AB, completely separated from other activities when the house is rented. Our own assessment is that Bockudden in the summer is suitable for families with children who demand a safe and secure holiday with access to swimming on a sandy beach and the opportunity for boat and canoe trips in V:a Silen and the surrounding fine clean lakes.
Price; SEK 8,000 per week. (Saturday to Saturday)

Book the trip or stays
We’d love to talk to you before you arrive. The idea is to offer you our experience and knowledge of this unique wilderness area. You can choose to paddle only in smaller lakes and streams that you can reach with short portages or to paddle in the larger lakes with locks. Many of our guests also choose a longer trip into Norway.
If you want to start or end at a place other than Risviken, we can arrange transport at reasonable prices. Many customers come back year after year to try new tours and experience tranquility and nature.
